Hello dear house building forum,
According to our development plan, enclosures of our property are only permitted in the form of hedges or green fences made of wood or metal.
Our question is: From when is a fence considered green? Does it have to be the classic ivy-like plant climbing up both sides of the fence? Or is a fence also regarded as green as soon as perennials or similar plants are planted in front of it on one side?
The reason is that we want to install a 1.80 m (6 ft) solid fence as a privacy screen along one property boundary shortly after the house is completed.
It is not yet possible to observe how the neighbors are implementing the development plan regarding enclosures, as most houses are still under construction.
Perhaps someone has already dealt with this topic and would like to share their knowledge! 🙂
