ᐅ Designing a Small Guest Bathroom – Is There Still Room for a Urinal?

Hello everyone,

Since we already received great help designing the main bathroom, we need your assistance once again for the guest bathroom. :-) My husband would like to have a urinal. However, I don’t see any available space for it. If we place the toilet and the urinal along the 1.20 m (4 feet) wall instead of the washbasin, it will probably be quite tight, right? We recently saw a similar layout in a bathroom showroom, which, of course, encouraged my husband to believe the space should be sufficient.

Oh, does the man do the cleaning at your place? 🙂

The square meters are sufficient, but you would have to redesign for that. Urinals are for urinal users – trying to retrain guests who are used to standing at regular toilets can be ruled out.

I didn’t know that standing urinals still exist in private homes [emoji4]
But I also don’t see any space for them.

Every original ruffled blouse Sagrotan fairy has one at home. So, year-round inside the house, not like Mrs. Jahnke ;-)

The square meters are sufficient, but the layout would need to be changed. Urinals are for urinal users—training guests who are used to sitting toilets to stand is not really an option.

Of course, the man has to clean it as well. That’s a requirement :-)
How would you redesign it to make it work?

Many people in our circle of friends have a urinal. That’s where the desire comes from...

I’m not sure. Please show more of the floor plan to see if the layout of the guest bathroom could be adjusted.

Yes, bidets would also be good to see more commonly, especially in main bathrooms.

I would find being too close to a urinal uncomfortable. It’s unpleasant when your face is almost right next to the urinal while sitting on the toilet.
