Hello,
Are you experiencing as many problems finishing your kitchen as I am?
For weeks now, I have Metod cabinets without knobs, handles, and fronts in my kitchen. None of these are available for delivery.
Specifically, I am missing Bodbyn fronts, both drawers and display cabinet doors, as well as Faglavik handles.
They are not available online or at any furniture store nearby, and this has been the case since Metod was launched at the beginning of June.

We bought our kitchen two weeks ago at IKEA in Bratislava (only 1 hour away from Vienna), with Bodbyn fronts in ivory white.
Most of the items were in stock, but a few fronts had to be ordered and we received them just one week later.
At IKEA in Vienna, the front is also not available; it has been removed from the website, and there is a note stating that the delivery time is approximately 6–8 weeks.
My understanding is that different countries receive a certain allocation of fronts, and apparently Bodbyn is less popular in Slovakia, which is why it is available there.

We ordered our kitchen from IKEA in Ulm on December 2nd. The fronts are in Bodbyn ivory, and except for one 20cm (8 inch) front, everything is available and will be delivered next Thursday, December 18th.

So it seems there are currently no delivery issues there.

Best regards,
Chris

hello everyone

i came across this forum during my planning phase and have to admit, it helped me with some issues already — a big thank you to everyone

now a question regarding delivery difficulties. is it still that bad with the bodbyn fronts in white?
we ordered our kitchen metod bodbyn ivory white on 2.2.15. the kitchen delivery was scheduled for 27.2.15, and the countertop for 7.3.15. so i have one week to assemble the base units, that fits perfectly

however, i made a small measuring mistake with the ben fronts during planning — frustrating. so i went to IKEA and ordered two replacement fronts on 3.2.15. just yesterday, 10.2.15, the two fronts sized 60cm x 60cm (24in x 24in) and 20cm x 60cm (8in x 24in) arrived

according to IKEA, the kitchen could already be delivered by 12.2.15. i postponed the date because i need to clear some space first. but in Germany, some of you have reportedly waited over six months? or has this situation improved by now?

best regards from the sunny, snow-covered Switzerland

I’ll add myself here as well... I’m also waiting for 4 drawer fronts and a cabinet door from Kroktorp. The staff at Ikea told me they couldn’t give me a delivery date because Kroktorp is being discontinued, but the reorder service will continue.

I just don’t understand why they can’t get it organized... in the Netherlands, France, Austria, and Switzerland the fronts are currently available to order online! I would even cover the shipping costs, but I can’t have them shipped to Germany.

If this keeps up, I’ll ask a friend in Switzerland to order the fronts for me... the drawer fronts are especially frustrating because the cabinets just stand there unused as long as I can’t assemble the drawers.

Or I might go with the cheap replacement fronts... can I really just return them after they’ve been installed? So far, I’ve only returned items that were still in their original packaging or defective.

If you don’t mind, the drawers also work without fronts.
I also did that for a few weeks.

In my opinion, IKEA should actually offer you HÄGGEBY fronts temporarily on their own.
If KROKTORP is still being sold as usual, even though some parts are unavailable for an indefinite period, it might be worth considering exchanging all of them for HITTARP fronts as soon as those become available (if you like them).
As far as I know, replacement fronts are more expensive through after-sales service.
Each country receives a certain quota, and in Germany, people are buying KROKTORP and BODBYN like crazy.
