Hello,
Are you experiencing as many problems finishing your kitchen as I am?
For weeks now, I have Metod cabinets without knobs, handles, and fronts in my kitchen. None of these are available for delivery.
Specifically, I am missing Bodbyn fronts, both drawers and display cabinet doors, as well as Faglavik handles.
They are not available online or at any furniture store nearby, and this has been the case since Metod was launched at the beginning of June.
Regards

Sunny471125 Oct 2014 05:29At least you received something...... Bodbyn in white can no longer be ordered online. In the stores, they say the fronts are not available anywhere in Germany. – no idea, unfortunately I can’t help. – they also cannot be pre-ordered.
The customer service does not respond to inquiries made via the website.
Nor do they reply to faxes.
On Facebook, I received an answer saying they are sorry that I am experiencing difficulties......
In Denmark/Sweden, ordering online is possible.
However, another user told me that there you receive a delivery without the fronts, but with a very detailed explanation that there are problems which should be resolved with a new production facility by February 2015.
Well, at least most of it can be assembled for now.
But the customer service in Germany is really poor and frustrating.

Sunny471125 Oct 2014 05:33Before going months without any drawer fronts, I would buy the cheapest available ones and, once the others are back in stock, use the new return policy to send back the temporary fronts. If everyone does this, the problems might get worse overall, but I would still be selfish in that case. I wonder how such issues can occur despite the gradual introduction of METOD. Or maybe that is exactly the reason? Manufacturers have to produce fronts for both METOD and FAKTUM.That’s a good idea!!!!!!
I also initially bought two cabinets with the cheapest fronts because I wouldn’t have been able to continue the renovation otherwise. – Thanks a lot!
I’m just glad they haven’t discontinued the series, as I already have several cabinets and wanted to expand.

berlinorama25 Oct 2014 16:58I expected that the Bodbyn ivory fronts would take months to be delivered, as the furniture store also indicated that they were not available. However, when I placed the order (end of August), they told me I could receive them within a week! And everything actually arrived then. This is in Berlin. It seems to be different everywhere else.
Dear Ikea,
Thank you very much, now you have us waiting for our fronts (Kroktorp) for weeks! Well, thanks a lot! We have a kitchen here without fronts because there are delivery problems again!
Nobody informs you, the order is simply canceled by you!
We are constantly just being put off, delivery dates are postponed... What is this about?
When I buy a kitchen, I want it complete!
Estimated date May 2015. What? I am supposed to wait another 7 months for my fronts! Tell me, how do you expect that to work? I’m fed up!
Tomorrow I will disassemble your showroom kitchen and take it home myself if you can’t manage this!
Great service, really!!
You guys are amazing!!

We are also experiencing major problems with our kitchen order!
We ordered our new kitchen with Bodbyn fronts on September 30th, with an expected delivery date of December 23, 2014. We urgently need the new kitchen and only placed the order because we were verbally assured that the delivery date would be adjusted to the end of October. However, as I have recently found out, it was adjusted—but pushed further back. Now the delivery date is December 29, 2014! The order is fulfilled from a central warehouse, and supposedly there is a list for all of Germany that is processed gradually. So I don’t understand why some customers have received their orders—despite having ordered later—and others have not.
The store where we placed the order still lists the delivery time as 8 weeks, which in itself I find outrageous because it clearly takes longer!
How can a company like Ikea not get this under control for so many months? To me, this is completely incomprehensible!
What annoys me most is that everyone just shrugs it off — customer service should be different! And now, reading that it might take until February or even May, makes me feel awful...
Update on December 19, 2014:
Today the kitchen was supposed to be delivered (except for some missing parts, but still before Christmas) and installed. However, the installation was canceled at short notice, and Ikea did not even manage to inform us about this! I have been waiting for 12 hours for a callback that was promised to me multiple times at the hotline. Really a disgrace for Ikea’s customer service!
