Hi,

Our shower is about 1 year old, and I have now noticed mold spots in one compartment. I also realized that this compartment unfortunately has no slope, meaning water collects there.

There is also mold on the acrylic further down:

At our shower drain, I noticed that the coating is peeling or has been damaged somehow. The shower is cleaned every 2 weeks with Antikal and regular water—have we done something wrong or is this a construction defect?

Thank you in advance.

About mold: The developer is not responsible for that. After showering, you should dry the surfaces and ventilate the room thoroughly. How is ventilation managed? Is there a mechanical ventilation system installed?

I cannot comment on the gutter. You should find out how it is allowed to be cleaned.

Mold, as mentioned, ventilate and wipe. We always do that. Regarding the gutter, it looks like limescale. Do you have hard water? It looks similar in our case.

Silicone molds when moisture remains stagnant; no one is to blame for that. Is there a controlled mechanical ventilation system installed?
