Hello,

I am looking for experiences with daylight lamps.
We chose not to install windows in our basement (due to the costs of waterproof shafts and windows) and are now looking for a good lighting solution.

Has anyone here had experience with daylight lamps?

Best regards
Robin

It depends on what you mean by daylight.

There are daylight lamps that have a spectrum similar to natural daylight, and lamps that have approximately the same color temperature as daylight (5000-6500 Kelvin, I believe).

So far, I only know the first type from therapy lamps and similar devices.

I use daylight lamps for my carnivorous plants. It always depends on what you want. To cover the full sunlight spectrum or just the light colors.

I can recommend prediger. They offer great products. I bought a daylight lamp for the office and all the lamps for the hallway there. Unfortunately, it was quite expensive. Office: 1700 EUR and hallway: about 6000 EUR. That’s a lot of money... everything can be connected via DALI.

Best regards, Steffen

Or, if money is no object, CoeLux.

Unfortunately, very cool. But also no longer in my price range (starts at 50,000 EUR (about 54,000 USD)).. 🙂

I’m looking forward to the day when this becomes affordable. Maybe in 10 years? That would be a blessing for basements.
