I’m new here and have to bother you right away with my problem.
So, I’ll start:
My husband and I have been planning for a while now to build our own kitchen (completely built from scratch with those great IKEA fronts, etc.). Since my husband is the sole earner and I’m still a student, money is a bit tight. So I thought, great, IKEA always has everything, and we can just buy things little by little as we have extra money (a pretty naive and silly idea, as I’ve realized now). My husband thought from the start it was a bad idea, but as women do, I insisted. There’s also something nice about looking forward to each new item every time.
Now, onto the problem: at the end of last year, we managed to snag the “Datid ov8” oven at a bargain price through a family offer. We wanted to buy the microwave later (so now)... Unfortunately, IKEA has since discontinued the series and we can’t find the “mw6” in anthracite anywhere. I’ve already contacted IKEA. We absolutely need this microwave... but it’s no longer available! There has to be some IKEA store that still has this microwave... we would even take a display model, it doesn’t matter. I’d also consider using a different microwave, but the oven and microwave are supposed to be stacked, and if they’re different models, they just don’t match... you know what I mean.
Alternatively, and this is currently our plan, we might sell the oven and buy a different oven with a matching microwave.
Well, if you have no other problems, you make some for yourself!
Does anyone else know a solution or happen to have this anthracite microwave lying around somewhere?
