Hello everyone,

we couldn't find any information on this. Does anyone know if there is a combination for blackout with venetian blinds? For example, a combination of venetian blinds and a textile screen? There are also combined venetian blinds with insect screens that can be lowered. I only found the CDL slats from Roma for blackout purposes.

Hi, for us, the choices for the external blinds were Warema or Roma, and as you mentioned, the CDL slats are great for darkening. However, we didn’t find the high extra cost worth it. I initially liked the combination with a fly screen, but we were advised against it if renting out (because it’s too delicate and would break too quickly). I think the salesperson mentioned that any combination is possible here (for example, a zip screen instead of a fly screen). I would suggest checking with a well-stocked Roma dealer. Maybe using a fly screen in a different color or quality would look almost the same as a zip screen? At least it would have a similar effect.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, the CDL slats seem to be good for darkening, but from what I have heard, you have to make compromises when it comes to light control. At least compared to the C slats. And that's what makes venetian blinds appealing to me.
