Hello everyone,
I’m Rainario, 40 years old, a family dad (my daughter Sunshine is 2 years old) and now looking for the right builder for our existing plot.
I have been reading here for a while, but now I have to ask a basic question:
Is there anyone in this forum with recent experience or impressions, especially about the expected waiting times until moving in?
Something similar to the comparison from the thread by user gelbes T.
This seems to be a real issue with the major prefab home builders (and there are understandable reasons for this). Hanse Haus (up to 18 months) and Weberhaus (up to 20 months) are just two examples, I’m afraid. Checking other market leaders probably doesn’t lead to different lead times. Is this always the case with Hanse Haus and Weberhaus?
Smaller/local prefab builders are probably a serious alternative.
Which ones would be worth considering around Landsberg am Lech / Augsburg?
I have come across the company Invivo (solid construction) but haven’t found many noteworthy reviews.
Does anyone know them better or has experience building with them?
Regarding the budget (excluding additional building costs) and without a basement, 300,000 (KfW55 standard without photovoltaic) should ideally be enough; size about 125 square meters (about 1346 square feet). A partially heated basement will be added later, with around 59,000.
However, this does not necessarily make things easier.

Now I am waiting for the prices from the selections, but nothing is happening. I was told they are very busy.
A tentative start date for construction was given to me at the beginning of 2021.
Responses to emails are very delayed.
What should one make of this... We built with Weberhaus and are very satisfied, but the communication could be better because they seem to be extremely busy. I kept regularly following up by phone and email with my contacts, and then everything worked out. I just made sure to keep track of the tasks myself. Compared to what other neighbors experienced with different builders here, our experience with Weberhaus was actually very good.
