ᐅ Current Comparison of Prefabricated Home Providers (and Lead Times)

Hello everyone,

I’m Rainario, 40 years old, a family dad (my daughter Sunshine is 2 years old) and now looking for the right builder for our existing plot.
I have been reading here for a while, but now I have to ask a basic question:

Is there anyone in this forum with recent experience or impressions, especially about the expected waiting times until moving in?
Something similar to the comparison from the thread by user gelbes T.

This seems to be a real issue with the major prefab home builders (and there are understandable reasons for this). Hanse Haus (up to 18 months) and Weberhaus (up to 20 months) are just two examples, I’m afraid. Checking other market leaders probably doesn’t lead to different lead times. Is this always the case with Hanse Haus and Weberhaus?

Smaller/local prefab builders are probably a serious alternative.
Which ones would be worth considering around Landsberg am Lech / Augsburg?

I have come across the company Invivo (solid construction) but haven’t found many noteworthy reviews.
Does anyone know them better or has experience building with them?

Regarding the budget (excluding additional building costs) and without a basement, 300,000 (KfW55 standard without photovoltaic) should ideally be enough; size about 125 square meters (about 1346 square feet). A partially heated basement will be added later, with around 59,000.
However, this does not necessarily make things easier.

Contrary to the title, it seems you are looking for a provider of houses or construction services without specifying the building method, and you are probably hoping to find the one who will satisfy your building needs the fastest by comparing (or collecting reports from others about their time between decision and moving in). However, I’m afraid such a forecast of who might be available for you first would not be reliable and could change by next week.

How far along are you, anyway? – I understand you already have a plot of land, but what’s the next step? Do you already have financing in place (i.e., is the mentioned budget a confirmed approval)? How familiar are you with the zoning plan (building plan / planning permission) for your land, and so on?

Everything I’m about to share is unreliable. I’ve heard that there is currently chaos out there. And this is not the Walking Dead.

I wanted to mention two companies to you through "Start New Conversation," one of which we signed with on December 31, 2019, and which offered shorter timeframes. However, it seems that "Start New Conversation" is not working. Additionally, according to HilfeHilfe, the dates they provided us in December are apparently no longer realistic anyway.

How do you know that, and what consequences do you think home builders will face? On the websites, I read that the model home exhibitions are closed and that consultations are taking place via video chat. Since we are not yet in the actual building phase, I don't have any further information.

It is allowed to mention company names here, especially as long as it doesn’t include negative evaluations (which could require moderation), and the fact that you’ve already become a customer of one of them is certainly not dishonorable.
