ᐅ Curfew: Am I still allowed to go to the construction site in Bavaria?

Regarding the current curfew, is traveling a longer distance to one’s own construction site as the property owner still clearly permitted? Or should I expect lengthy discussions with any checkpoint controls? I am specifically interested in Bavaria.

If anyone has relevant experiences or information for other federal states, please always specify the state accordingly.

If possible, stay at home, even if it is permitted. You might not infect anyone, and no one might infect you, but if you have an accident on the way (you don’t even have to be at fault yourself) or at work, the hospital will have an unnecessary case to treat, using resources that wouldn’t otherwise be needed. They already have plenty to deal with, and the unavoidable risks that can still occur at home (heart attack, etc.) are enough.

This applies to everyone: think about the meaning, understand it, and do not believe anything blindly or criticize those who do not act according to their beliefs.

This definitely needs clarification. Our house is scheduled to be erected next week. Right after Söder’s speech yesterday, the construction company called and confirmed this.
The following week, the first owner-performed tasks are already planned in the construction schedule (insulating interior walls, etc. – timber frame house), which will cause delays if not completed. I have already taken time off for this in January.
Additionally, we are doing the electrical work ourselves, installing the flooring, and carrying out further insulation work.

What was it again? Most accidents happen at home?

Regarding this specific case: if you are allowed to go for a walk outside and can drive alone in your car to go shopping or to work, I don’t see any problem with driving alone to your construction site and working on your own labor there.

Before you continue arguing unconstructively, a brief clarification for all home builders in Bavaria:
As of today at 0:00 hours, private construction assistance is definitely not allowed due to the general order on curfew restrictions in Bavaria. Clause 4 states that leaving the residence is only permitted for valid reasons. These valid reasons are specified in clause 5, and private help on construction sites cannot be classified under the exceptions listed there. The wording “in particular” suggests recognition of further exceptions, but only those that are absolutely unavoidable, based on valid reasons, and do not contradict the purpose of the regulation. Since helping with construction usually concerns only an individual’s economic interests, it clearly does not meet these criteria; it does not outweigh the protection, health, and life of other people, nor the operation and preservation of our healthcare system! In any case, if individuals lacking awareness are present at the same time as professional workers on the construction site, this is a clear violation of the applicable legal situation and also clearly contradicts the purpose of the general order.

Thank you for your clarification!
