Hello dear forum community,
I am new here and have a question regarding my current construction project. It involves an extension to the house, or as it is sometimes called, a "small front porch." In any case, I have a small issue with my plan to insulate the entire exterior. Due to the building structure, I only have a few centimeters (a few inches) of space on the right side because of an adjacent window. Otherwise, the extension is free-standing on all sides, and I intended to use 20cm (8 inches) thick insulation panels. However, on the right side, I can only install up to 10cm (4 inches). Would this kind of "uneven" insulation negatively affect the overall performance?
Thank you very much for your advice.

O
