ᐅ CTA Aeroheat Heat Pump Settings for Optimization

Hi everyone,

I would also like to fine-tune the settings of my heat pump. Here are the current settings:

Process dashboard: temperatures, inputs/outputs, cycle times, operating hours, system status.

Table with temperature parameters and limit values: return limit, outdoor temperature, target temperatures.

Table of heating and hot water settings with values.

Digital heating display in blue with heating curve and temperature readings

The hot water is set to 47°C (117°F) with circulation running 3 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening. Circulation pump is on for 5 minutes, off for 55 minutes.

Specific questions:
- We repeatedly get error 724 (defrost temperature difference >15K). The technician suggested increasing the secondary circuit flow, saying the energy in the heating circuit is currently not sufficient for defrosting. That sounds illogical to me. What else could be causing this error?
- The flow in the bathroom is relatively low, and naturally, there is also the least piping area installed there per square meter. How can I increase the flow in that area?

All actuators are fully open. The heating system is in the basement, and the problematic bathroom is on the top floor, on the last circuit at the manifold.

I would appreciate any tips.

Volume flow 1900 l/h (50.3 US gallons per hour) fits, so it seems. Is the sensor working correctly?

Which sensor?

What do they look like? The pipes are insulated, so I can’t really see much...

@Daniel-Sp
I have just extracted the current DTA. The recent faults were:

16.10.20 06:58:07 Temp difference defrost (724)
15.10.20 20:21:09 Temp difference defrost (724)
15.10.20 08:34:10 Temp difference defrost (724)

Attached is the course of the TRL setpoint, TVL, and TRL. The yellow highlighted areas indicate the faults. What could be the cause?

Time series with three temperature lines (setpoint and actual values) and marked peaks in the course.

Hmm, this issue only occurs during defrosting while heating hot water. Could it be a software problem? Or a control system issue? I would recommend contacting the manufacturer to see if this is a known problem.
