hi
We have cracks in the prefabricated garage during the warranty period. The company is coming to inspect and repair the damage. Should I hire an expert to document the damage, in case the cracks reappear in the future?

Doesn't anyone have a suggestion for me?

What do you expect from the assessor, or do you have reasonable grounds to believe that the garage as a whole is defective? If the cracks—which are not uncommon—are repaired, isn’t everything fine then?

What exactly do you expect from the inspector, or do you have justified reasons to assume that the garage has overall defects? If the cracks—which are not uncommon—are repaired, isn’t everything then fine?

But for me, cracks are significant defects, aren’t they?

Has the substrate been structurally verified to be sound?

Strip footings were installed on my behalf. However, the garage company approved them. I have a question about this: Even if a footing settles slightly, would that have no impact since the garage is supported only at four points anyway??!!
