matze787Hello everyone!
Since we built our single-family house, we have had carpet installed on our concrete stairs, which after 15 years now looks really worn out. Because we want something durable, we have decided after much consideration to go with granite and are still undecided between a lighter (Kaschmir White) and a darker (Steel Grey) granite. Both are said to have quite similar properties.
However, I wonder if scratches and similar marks might be much more visible on dark granite than on light granite.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Matze

nordanney8 Feb 2014 20:10We have experience with Kashmir White (kitchen and hallway) and Labrador Blue Pearl (guest bathroom). Both floors look the same after about 9 years. Granite is extremely hard and durable, so you can choose whatever you prefer.
For the new house, however, we decided to use porcelain stoneware for the stairs. Although there are grout lines, the range of colors is much larger.
