I need a quick piece of information. I couldn’t find anything using the search function...
I have cover panels (Förbättra) for the sides of a Metod wall cabinet and a decorative trim for the front.
However, the cover panels are 20cm (8 inches) longer than the cabinet is tall. Do these need to be cut down, or did I buy the wrong ones?
The decorative trim, on the other hand, is only about 6–8cm (2.5–3 inches), I guess.

However, I was given a 2.20 m (7 ft 3 in) long panel for this.

IKEA-Experte15 Dec 2016 14:51You were given incorrect information. Maybe he/she was thinking of cabinets that are 80cm (31.5 inches) high at that moment.

However, they gave me a 2.20-meter (7 ft 3 in) long panel.Haha, we recently went through the same thing. On top of that, two employees claimed the kitchen can’t end directly next to the dishwasher; there must always be a cabinet frame on both sides, and they acted like we were idiots for trying to secure the whole thing with an end panel.
When I mentioned that three IKEA staff had planned this kitchen, they quickly went quiet.
The kitchens are great, but there are still quite a few things IKEA could improve.

IKEA-Profi15 Dec 2016 21:59There is always a difference between "can" and "must."
There are many good reasons why the dishwasher should not be placed at the end.
It does not have to be positioned in the middle.
There are houses with a high number of complaints because of this, so their design practice no longer plans the kitchen that way.
