We are planning to build a house with a small granny flat (only on the ground floor), preferably in a simple country house style, possibly with divided light windows. Our plot is 1200sqm (13,000 sqft) at the edge of a forest. We have worked a bit on the floor plan. We would like to have a gable end with a captain’s gable on the right side towards the back and extend the right side by about 3-4m (10-13 ft) to create a large kitchen space. The living room is rather small because we tend to spend most of our time at the kitchen table.
Today we visited a prefab house company to get an idea of how the process works.
Our preference is for divided light windows and a wooden front door. The supplier could not offer the first option, not even in a modern version with a one-third/two-thirds division in aluminum windows or applied grids. However, we do not want to give this up. I wonder if other companies will be the same? Does anyone have a recommendation for a builder who offers this and allows for custom designs?
Solid construction is also welcome!

I have no personal experience with the company and have no idea about their prices. They mainly build in southern Germany and Switzerland, but apparently not exclusively. The company is called "Greenville." I only know their YouTube channel. Since I would personally like to have a house like that in another life ;-) I have watched a lot of their content.
They are a prefab house company specializing in wooden houses in the Swedish and New England styles. They use the elements you mentioned, as well as many others. This also means they should at least know subcontractors for such windows, etc. and so on.

Kensington7 Jan 2022 13:13Ok... a beautiful brick-faced house with divided-light windows, a bay window, and masonry decorations (so nostalgic...) in the Hanseatic style has just been built in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, I don’t know the supplier because there is no advertising sign... maybe it was self-managed. But I’ll ask if I see any contractors there again. However, it is in Schleswig-Holstein; I don’t know where you plan to build.
