Hello,
As mentioned before, we want to build a turnkey home. However, many companies only offer "almost finished" packages. Painting, plastering, and flooring are often not included. What should I roughly budget for these services? The house is about 145 square meters (1,560 square feet).

Since we recently faced the same question, we asked some local craftsmen (Northern Baden).
Finishing drywall to level Q2 = approx. €6-7/m² (approx. $6.50-7.50/ft²) gross
Tiling, including adhesive and grouting, excluding tiles and baseboards = approx. €35/m² (approx. $32.50/ft²) gross

When it comes to plastering walls, you can save a lot because the material costs are relatively low, but the labor costs are very high. We thought for a long time about doing it ourselves but eventually decided against it. Plastering is a job for someone with nerves of steel.
Also, doing it yourself takes much longer than having professionals do it.
I have wallpapered quite a few times before, and with my father’s help, it works out well. We will have tiles installed by a colleague of my husband (a trained tile setter). I wouldn’t dare to do it on my own.

Regarding the plastering work, we are still seriously considering whether we should do it ourselves. The professionals estimated two workers for about six days to cover approximately 600m² (6,460 sq ft) of surface area to be plastered.
If I were to do it myself, I would probably allow around 10 days. Since I doubt I could convince anyone to spend 10 full days plastering with me, I would have to do it alone. That means it would take me about two to three weeks solely for this task.
Besides, it has already been mentioned that there are more enjoyable things to do than plastering drywall panels.
Therefore, it will likely come down to a compromise for us. We will have the ground floor done by professionals, and on the upper floor, where you don’t necessarily need all the rooms immediately and can take your time, we will do the plastering ourselves.

Applying filler is the last task you want to do.
I saw how quickly professionals worked; I would have easily needed three times as long. Apart from the fact that I can't walk on ladders, working neatly overhead also requires practice. And poorly filled and sanded surfaces will cause problems when wallpapering... I speak from full experience.
If you still want to do it and need a rolling scaffold, I have one available.
