As mentioned before, we want to build a turnkey home. However, many companies only offer "almost finished" packages. Painting, plastering, and flooring are often not included. What should I roughly budget for these services? The house is about 145 square meters (1,560 square feet).

However, since this is the stage where you can contribute a lot yourself and potentially save some money, we consciously decided against it.
We have budgeted €10,000 (approximately $11,000) for flooring and painting, with a maximum buffer of €4,000 (approximately $4,400) in case we decide on that one particular parquet flooring.

Providers have moved to this approach because tastes vary too much and these tasks are traditionally considered owner responsibilities. However, you can usually request the "paint-ready" option with nearly any provider.
If you want to include these tasks as part of the contract work, you should budget at least 10,000 EUR (approx. 10,000 USD) for wallpaper with a textured finish and medium-standard tiles or laminate/carpet. Keep in mind, performing the painting and flooring yourself will take considerable time; for example, for painting work, you can estimate about 145 x 5 to get an idea of how much wallpaper you will need to hang and/or paint.
