I have just taken over my parents' house, which has been heated with old-fashioned room heaters until now. I would like to install a modern natural gas central heating system and would like to know what kind of cost range I should roughly expect.
The house has a living area of about 100 m² (1,076 sq ft). In my estimation, I will need 12 radiators. Of course, there are no gas connections or pipes yet—there really isn’t anything.
How much will I probably have to invest?

Annegret-17 Oct 2015 01:12We also want to replace our gas heating system and have requested several quotes. The price difference is quite significant. The cheapest provider is asking for 15,000 CHF, which is a small company. The most expensive one demands 24,000 CHF, where the well-known name also plays a role.

Urs1988-111 Feb 2016 10:19Of course, the question arises whether a gas connection is available. That would increase the costs even more. Two years ago, we had a natural gas heating system installed at my parents' house. The cost was about 24,000 CHF. However, that was the all-in price. In addition to this central heating system, eight radiators were installed. Underfloor heating was installed in the bathroom. We wanted to save space there by not installing a radiator.
We also had to take care of this task. Our family home urgently needed a heating system, so we removed the old stoves. The entire installation cost 21,000 Swiss francs at the time.
In addition to the heating system, 9 radiators were installed. But everything works very well.
