Hello,
I am planning to build or have built a timber frame shell house.
Does anyone have experience with the approximate costs for materials needed for the interior finishing of a timber frame house?
Specifically, I am looking for the costs of insulation, drywall or paneling, and screed. Wallpaper and floor coverings are not included for me.
The living area should be around 120 to 150 m² (1,290 to 1,615 sq ft).

Regards,
Kero

Hello,
okay, I may have been a bit unclear. Of course, I don’t want to do this alone. My father and brother-in-law are also involved in the project, and for lighter tasks my sister and mother are available. I’m not counting on other family members or friends for now. If someone does help, that’s great; otherwise, at least I won’t be upset if no one shows up.

I appreciate that you are concerned about my finances and free time. I don’t want to take unpaid leave or anything like that, so everything has to be done on weekends. But as I said, it’s okay if it takes some time since I don’t have the added burden of rent.

Other than that, this is mainly about estimating the approximate material costs to see if we can afford the project at all. I will still look for posts about BG Bau.

Best regards, Kero
