We are now considering using some of our approximately 10-year-old ground-floor windows (PVC, in perfect condition) in the basement of the new building and are looking for a general cost comparison: new basement windows (100x100 cm (39x39 inches), including installation) versus using “old” windows (we remove them ourselves, professional installation included). Our architect seems, in our opinion, a bit uncertain about this issue, and we have difficulty estimating the effort involved (we will handle removing the windows; the rest will be done by a specialist). For example, with new windows, the frame and other components are included, whereas when using old windows, the frame needs to be built first, and so on...

If it’s only for the basement, I would simply buy new ones at a hardware store. The ones currently available there are more than sufficient for a basement and cost around 130-150€ for 100cm x 100cm (39 inches x 39 inches) with triple glazing.
However, they should not be used in living areas because they often do not have a steel core, sometimes consist of solid profiles, and are not as stable under wind loads as "proper" windows.
For basements and garages, this usually doesn’t matter.
