Hello everyone,

today I received the quote for the electrical installation (see attached pictures). We are not planning a smart home, just the standard installation for our single-family house. Could you please check if the pricing looks reasonable or if it is too expensive?
Thank you very much!

Best regards

I cannot comment on the costs, but I have a few remarks regarding the LAN topic.

“Data cable including connection socket” sounds like it only refers to the wall outlet in the room. Does this also include the patch panel and the termination? Is it a single LAN socket or a double socket? My recommendation is always to go for a double socket! For both LAN and antenna cables, always make sure that everything is installed in empty conduits so it can be replaced later if needed.

It's fine. You already have many cost drivers included.

Thank you! I will add these two questions to my “question list.” By “data line,” do you mean the installation of the empty conduits?

The data cable likely refers to the network installation cable.

It is always important to ask questions if something is unclear!

I find the price of the basic installation very high. There are more sockets than usual, but that doesn’t justify it. Or are there already unmentioned upgrades included? Most general contractors I have worked with calculate electrical work based on the scope of work at around €8,000 to €12,000 gross. And room thermostats usually come at an extra cost, or is this the luxury version?

The upgrades are actually fair to inexpensive; the problem lies in the base price.
