Hello everyone!
While trying to estimate our construction costs, I discovered thanks to the lists here in the forum that we were about to forget the driveway / entrance area!
As a reference, I found that one should expect around 10,000–15,000 Euros. Is this realistic for an area of about 66 sqm (710 sq ft)?
I know it’s difficult to give a specific price. If we say: simple concrete slabs / stones, area about 66 sqm (710 sq ft), in Upper Bavaria – could we say we are likely looking at a range between 10,000 and 15,000 Euros?
The same area is currently covered with old concrete. Do you have an idea how much removing it might cost?
(Assuming my husband doesn’t want to try out his new pneumatic hammer 🙂 )
Once we get that far, I will post the specific quotes we receive here.

Where do the utility connections come from?
If water, electricity, telephone, or sewer lines pass through, you might need to remove the slabs beforehand.
I'm just thinking through the process as it was for us.
For telephone, electricity, and water, the house was already standing; I believe the sewer was connected beforehand.

Thanks for the tip, Haydee!
The connections probably come from our current house (which would be to the left of the garage, not visible in the picture). But from which side, I wonder?
Lesson of the day: before we remove anything, we’ll talk to the company that handles the foundation slab and connections 🙂
