Hello everyone,
When I read about the slope of window sills, I keep seeing a minimum of 5° mentioned.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any official guideline on this! The only one I found is from Austria, which obviously doesn’t apply to Germany.
Can someone tell me where I can find a precise description? I’m asking because I have the impression that the slope is incorrect everywhere here.
In winter, the roller shutters freeze shut due to frost, and I suspect it’s because the slope is too shallow.
Has the Rosenheim Institute or RAL published anything on this topic?
Thanks a lot!
Best regards

It might be worthwhile to have the slope re-measured on clean window sills by a sworn expert using a calibrated spirit level. In our case, the court ordered this. Previously, the architect from the homeowners' association had measured the same thing with a calibrated instrument, but that did not help to resolve the issue.
