Varone_Jessen26 Mar 2023 00:26Hello everyone,
When I read about the slope of window sills, I keep seeing a minimum of 5° mentioned.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any official guideline on this! The only one I found is from Austria, which obviously doesn’t apply to Germany.
Can someone tell me where I can find a precise description? I’m asking because I have the impression that the slope is incorrect everywhere here.
In winter, the roller shutters freeze shut due to frost, and I suspect it’s because the slope is too shallow.
Has the Rosenheim Institute or RAL published anything on this topic?
Thanks a lot!
Best regards

As far as I know, there is no mandatory regulation in Germany. However, there are guidelines (glazing trade, Rosenheim) recommending a minimum slope of 5 degrees.Do you have the guideline at hand? Name or possibly guideline number?B
Benutzer 100126 Mar 2023 20:39What is the name of the lady with the Heinz von Heiden house? They had a legal dispute and had all the window sills replaced. By the way, even if the slope is sufficient, the roller shutter sticks to the window sill.

Varone_Jessen27 Mar 2023 20:18Could someone please provide me with the above-mentioned regulations? The detailed part would be sufficient.
Does anyone have them?
