Hello everyone,
The last lawn seeding has sprouted, the shrubs are planted and hopefully holding up well despite the continuous rain.
So far, because of my parents-in-law’s landscaping business, we have only used gasoline-powered tools in the garden. Gradually, these are wearing out due to age, and in our private garden we only need a ride-on mower now.
However, it doesn’t reach cleanly along the edges of the terrace or around the shrubs. Therefore, we are looking for a battery-powered grass edger.
We already have a trimmer, but I don’t like using it that much, especially since I still have to clean up the paths afterwards.
Which of you have a battery-operated grass edger that can also handle thicker clumps? So far, we have looked at Bosch and Gardena models at the hardware store. They say nothing beats Makita’s. What are your experiences?

Cutting by hand takes us a whole day. Our plot is just too large for that.
Today we bought a cordless trimmer. The brand Pattfield is new on the market and a house brand from Hornbach. If it’s no good, we’ll just go back to the old petrol trimmer.
I will try right away to see whether I still need to clean the paths afterwards or if the edge adjustment is any good.
