Zenjamino3 Feb 2022 09:39Hello everyone,
We have been living in a prefabricated house for almost 10 months, where Enocean technology was installed for lighting and roller shutters.
Unfortunately, the electrician who originally worked on it is no longer available (a typical situation with prefab houses 🙂 ), so I would like to get your opinion on how to proceed.
Components from the company eltako were installed.
I would now like to control them via Wi-Fi, but I’m not sure if I can manage it myself.
There is a router for exactly this function, the "eltako minisafe 2 smart home central unit."
At 320 euros, it is a bit too expensive for me to just buy and try out.
I took a picture of the elements that control the lights and roller shutters.
When I press a switch, a few of the elements blink, which probably means it is a combination of several components that relay the signal.
My question to you is whether I can handle this myself or if I need an electrician?
If I can do it, I would appreciate tips on how to proceed and which devices to use.
Also, suggestions for electricians in the Heidelberg area who are familiar with this technology would be welcome.
Thank you very much and best regards
Zenjamino

Is the system now working perfectly without a repeater? Does the wireless signal from each switch reach the actuator?

Zenjamino4 Feb 2022 15:19Hello, yes, the system works great. I would just prefer to control it not only by pressing buttons but also by using a smartphone. It doesn’t need to work outside the house, so that’s not important to me.
I’m a bit worried about programming it because the number of control units doesn’t match the number of lights/blinds. There are more blinds/lights than control units. So, programming the router might not be that simple.

Baubaubau4 Feb 2022 15:28The actuators have either one, two, or four channels. These can be programmed relatively easily accordingly, which explains the different quantities.
