Hello everyone,
has anyone here had experience outsourcing non-warranty-relevant trades through specialized online platforms? 😕
Example:
A construction company charges 1,500 EUR for painting the eaves; their subcontractor does it for 800 EUR, while an offer from a well-known online platform is 500 EUR > work carried out by a local company > 1,000 EUR saved.
I would therefore like to find out if it might be worthwhile to remove some "turnkey" items from the building specifications and subcontract certain trades externally.
I would really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

I know some cases where the developer went bankrupt in the middle of construction or shortly after completion. Personally, I want to keep the involvement of the construction company to a minimum—preferably just the masonry and roofing. I would like to subcontract the rest to local companies. That way, it would already be worthwhile to save as much as possible on painting.
I should mention that I am self-employed, can manage my time well, and the new house will be built on the same plot of land where I currently live. In addition, I work a lot with tradespeople professionally and have known many of the companies for years.
Regards,
Bromi
