Hello everyone,

We are getting the heating installed this week, and then the screed should be dried quickly starting next week. The interior plastering is already done, we still need the sanitary work, drywall, painting, and flooring.

According to the construction schedule, all trades should be finished by mid-December.

How realistic is that? I would claim it should be doable by the end of September, right?

Very.

What type of screed? Underfloor heating? What drying and commissioning periods are planned? What else do the other trades still need to complete? What quality are the walls and ceilings? What floor coverings are planned? What is still missing in the sanitary installations? Does your plumber, drywall installer, heating engineer, painter, tiler, plasterer (for touch-ups) have other projects or are you their only client and everyone is just waiting to start at your place?
Yes, it can be finished by the end of September. But just as well, I could say people could be on Mars in 6 months. Both are basically possible, but neither will ever happen.

Hello Nordanney,
I don’t know the exact name of the screed, but an additive is used that makes it ready for covering after 10 to 13 days.

Underfloor heating throughout, 150 m² (1,615 sq ft).
The plumbing team is coming tomorrow and they need to finish before the building inspection on Tuesday.

The drywall contractor must install the upper floor roof and bathroom walls. They will start after the screed is done.

Flooring:
Tiles and laminate in the bedrooms and upper floor hallway.
Parquet in the living and dining rooms.

The painter needs to smooth and paint the concrete ceiling throughout the entire house.

All trades know roughly when they need to be here but are also working on other sites.

With the tasks that need to be done, expect it to be in December. It definitely won't happen in September.

December is realistic; faster is possible if everything goes smoothly and your construction site is prioritized by all trades. End of September is too tight.

The end of September seems unrealistic to me. With the current workload, tradespeople often move quickly from one construction site to another. If something more urgent comes up, they will be even later. I would prepare for November if everything goes well. But that's just guessing. If they say December, you should take that seriously.
