Hello,
we need to cover a distance of 40-50m (131-164 feet) to reach our plot. An early temporary power connection is not feasible timing-wise, so we have to pull a cable. Now I am wondering whether 5x16mm² (5x0.63 inch²) is sufficient or if it must be 5x25mm² (5x0.98 inch²). I have browsed various sites but am still not quite sure.
For construction, we require 1x63A and 2x32A.

There are more and more devices that shut off when they detect a voltage drop. I wasn’t aware that household appliances have undervoltage protection triggers. A quick search didn’t find anything on that.
And you won’t reach 70% of the rated load during hundreds of cold winters.
With a 50 mm² (0.0775 in²) main supply cable, you can deliver about 160 A / 50 kVA to the house. That is oversized by a factor of 3 for a single-family home.
The voltage drop is completely negligible, especially since utility companies nowadays tend to operate at a higher network voltage around 235 V (235 V).
I stand by my opinion. Your consultant meant well, but your supply line is massively oversized.
