Hello,
we have purchased a plot of land near Stuttgart and submitted a building permit application. Unfortunately, the cost estimates keep increasing.
The project is a single-family house with a living area of 250 m² (2690 sq ft), including a double garage and basement, KfW40+ standard.
Can anyone recommend a construction company in the greater Stuttgart area?
Thanks in advance!

At the moment, it’s carnival holidays, and both AWS and Härtter are relatively small companies by comparison. We visited both at the beginning of 2019, and even then it would have been tight to start within the same year. Everyone in the region is just too busy.
We also sometimes felt that only something from the “standard” range would be built. Out of 21 companies we contacted, 9 gave us a direct rejection (project too small, too customized, no capacity, etc.).
Yes, please do. We had a similar experience with a modular home provider.

Sounds like a manufacturer from Weissach. Seriously? Our sales representative there was extremely committed.
But it’s true, you experience a lot as a potential buyer.
With one manufacturer, we tried three times over 2-3 weeks to get the initial consultant to provide a quote. No response at all. Then we called the headquarters. After that, another consultant called us and scheduled an appointment. Only then did the first consultant finally call, quite upset. What a mess.
I guess it really depends a lot on the individual sales person.

Which manufacturer from Weissach do you mean? Haus der Handwerker (Mönsheim)?

I think it really depends a lot on the individual salesperson.Absolutely, you should never generalize, and there are always people behind it who might be under pressure or having a bad day. Still, this can strongly influence the decision for or against a provider.
