ᐅ Constructing basement walls (watertight concrete) in cold weather?

xdiverFor a week now, we have not only been house planners but also house builders 🙂
We are building with a basement. Due to the soil conditions, the basement must be constructed as a waterproof concrete structure (“white tank”).
Last week, work started and we were lucky. The foundation slab (including vapor barrier, gravel, lean concrete, reinforcement, etc.) was completed by Friday.
This week, the basement exterior walls are scheduled. According to the site supervisor, the exterior walls are planned to be poured on Wednesday.
Our goal is to complete the shell of the house including the roof before the end of the year... but everything depends on the weather.
Now I have seen in the weather forecast that it will get cold next week, between -2 and 4°C (28 and 39°F), with snow and rain expected as well.
We are unsure how to proceed given the upcoming weather conditions.
For your information: we are working with an architect. I plan to discuss this issue with him tomorrow to get his assessment for the coming days.
Has anyone had experience with building in this kind of weather?
Can you give us any recommendations on whether we should go ahead with pouring the basement exterior walls under these weather conditions?
Is there anything we should particularly keep in mind?
Thanks for your support!
Best regards,
xdiver

Just take a look at the cement manufacturer's guidelines. I believe it will specify a minimum temperature of 5°C (41°F). I would definitely get that in writing.
