Hello, during the planning phase you keep encountering new details. To be prepared: of course, we will do the planning with the architect, but for the upcoming planning meetings I want to be as well-informed as possible. So, here is the question: What I have learned so far is that there are roller shutter boxes that are integrated into the rough construction, and there are roller shutter boxes that form a single unit with the window frame and are installed together as one. Are there any other systems (which I might not know yet), and what are the main advantages and disadvantages of the two systems mentioned above? Intuitively, I would say that the second system (where the roller shutter box forms one unit with the window) can certainly be insulated and sealed more reliably against the masonry, or am I mistaken? Thanks in advance, Titus

The option with the fully integrated roller shutter is the safest. The roller shutter is installed above the window as part of the structure and fully plastered in.

Ave Socrates, happy is he who has been able to understand the causes of things. It is not right to know everything. Thank you for your response. For clarity: You do mean the unit where the window manufacturer delivers and installs the window and the roller shutter as one assembly? Regards, Titus
