Hello everyone!
We have many floor-to-ceiling windows and installed hardwood flooring. Now the question is how to design the transition between the windows and the hardwood. The flooring installer suggested black baseboards since the windows are black. Are there other options? Best regards

I have a quarter round molding (called Viertel in Hond). It’s a flat strip made from the same wood as the floor. It looks fine but is something that can easily be overlooked.

Yes, but what exactly is supposed to be done if the finish is like mine? Am I missing something? So what is the purpose of the silicone (at the floor-to-ceiling windows)? I don’t see water running behind the edges as a problem (that doesn’t matter whether there is silicone or not, the floor is problematic anyway).

The setup at our place doesn’t look like yours. We don’t have an edge at the floor-to-ceiling windows where I could slide the parquet underneath, leaving about 1 cm (0.4 inches) of space to the window frame, which floating parquet should have. Our window frames go straight down without a gap.
And that’s probably the case for most places.

I’m going to use special finishing trims there. I just haven’t installed them yet. They are available at hardware stores.

Which silicone color should I have chosen for smoked oak and white window frames?

You wrote “should have.” That was the answer to that.
I have no idea if it was done correctly for you… You are penetrating into the exterior walls with your installation… can that still be called floating then??? That’s probably not much of an issue in timber frame construction?!
And yes: it is meant to prevent water from wiping in. In our case, the frames are also sealed invisibly because they are installed over tile (basically like your window over parquet), and wash water can cause the cut edge of the wooden trim to swell.

We simply laid the profile flat in the window area (i.e., tilted/rotated by 90 degrees).
