Hello,

I’m not sure which cables need to be connected together. Could someone possibly help me here? It’s strange that the black cable always shows voltage with a non-contact voltage tester, but it’s not switched.

Is the cable on the right purely yellow or yellow-green?
Currently, brown is used for the live wire, blue for the neutral wire, and yellow-green for the ground. In the past, black was also used for live, and gray for neutral. So this could be translated as brown corresponding to black and blue to gray. The lamp probably does not have grounding.

Yes, the yellow one is purely the yellow grounding wire, which is also visible here in the photo.

Yes, exactly.
