Hello everyone!

If you are planning a heat pump system with a brine-to-water pump connected to ground collectors, along with a controlled ventilation system with heat recovery, wouldn’t it make sense to connect not only the brine-to-water pump for heating to the ground collectors but also the controlled ventilation system, using it as a ground heat exchanger so that the air is preheated in winter and precooled in summer before entering the ventilation unit? Most likely, the ground collectors would need to be sized somewhat larger to handle this additional task.

The same would probably apply to a gas-driven zeolite adsorption heat pump operated via ground collectors.

Am I understanding this correctly? What are your thoughts?

Best regards

That won’t work... The air volumes won’t be sufficient to achieve any effect... if anything, you would need an additional ground heat exchanger for the air with a significantly larger diameter.
