Hello everyone, I have an issue with my IKEA KALLAX shelf, specifically with the inserts for the compartments. These inserts keep slipping down or sideways inside the KALLAX compartments, which causes clutter because the items inside don’t stay neatly in place. This makes it difficult to use and leaves the space disorganized.

I have already tried tightening the inserts and securing them with cloths to prevent slipping, but nothing has held up permanently. Maybe someone here in the forum has a practical solution or helpful tips on how to keep the inserts from shifting inside the KALLAX compartments for good? I would appreciate any suggestions, including homemade fixes or ideas for materials to use. Thanks in advance!

I’m also curious: Have any of you ever considered 3D-printed mounting brackets?

I actually think that’s an innovative idea. Unfortunately, I don’t have the technical equipment for it. But I see it as an interesting future prospect, especially if you know the fixed dimensions of the KALLAX well. Maybe someone here can make it happen?

Good morning! 🙂 I just wanted to quickly share that I have been using the anti-slip mats combined with the felt pads for two weeks now – super stable, the inserts don’t wobble at all anymore! For me, the annoying search for alternative solutions is over, simply brilliant!

I’m really glad to hear that! Sometimes it’s the simple combinations that make a huge difference. Wishing you continued success organizing your KALLAX!
