tecker2010Hi,
we want to mount the TV on the aerated concrete wall (11.5cm (4.5 inches)) in the living room without visible cables. For this, we plan to install an empty conduit ourselves. Has anyone done this before? Using a hammer and chisel should be feasible, but is it advisable with Ytong blocks? We would then get a 40mm (1.6 inches) flexible conduit / empty pipe from the hardware store, install two flush-mount boxes at the top and bottom, and cover the area with plaster before the interior plasterers come to fully finish the walls later.
Does anyone have advice on whether this approach is okay?
Best regards

It should work. That’s how I did it too.

Not everything has to go through the conduit; you can also plan to run some cables normally on the wall. Document the installation with photos, as you will later need to drill holes for the wall mounts. There are covers for the outlets with a brush strip, but unfortunately, these are not available for all switch series.
Regarding how far you can or are allowed to chase channels into the wall, I will refrain from commenting.

We did the same. One junction box at the top and one at the bottom, with a cable duct 40/60 in between.
We did something similar. Unfortunately, I can’t upload pictures via Tapatalk. The duct was installed in the 36cm (14 inches) external wall, so there was enough space towards the back. (:
