Our general contractor charged an extra fee because we wanted glossy concrete roof tiles. However, the roofer showed us two glazed concrete roof tiles to choose from. Are glossy and glazed the same or not? My impression is that glossy tiles should look different.
I would appreciate any advice.

Thank you for the detailed explanation.
Our problem is that according to the construction specifications, we are supposed to receive concrete roof tiles. During the sample selection, we requested glossy ones. The architect apparently wasn’t familiar with this material because she couldn’t tell us if such tiles were available. However, the request was noted, and we were told it was possible for an additional charge. Shortly after, we received the invoice including the surcharge.
Now it appears that glossy concrete roof tiles are not available. So, what did we pay the extra cost for? Our consideration is that if we cannot get the glossy ones, we want the surcharge refunded. The mistake was that we didn’t specify which company and which type of roof tiles we would receive. Now the company can deliver whatever they want.
By the way, the local authority only prohibits metal roofing in our area. You can use any type of roof tiles you want.
