Hello everyone,

I’m new here and this is my first post.
I am 34 years old and a trained electrician. I’m pretty confident with electrical work, but I don’t know much about general building materials and their handling. That’s why I’m reaching out to you, hoping to get some advice.
I want to start a new project concerning a concrete foundation.
Behind the house, there is a kind of brick raised bed that I initially wanted to demolish. However, this seems to be more difficult than expected.
The bed (about 2 meters long, 1 meter wide (6.5 feet long, 3 feet wide)) is located at the right corner of the house. To the right of the house, there is a paved driveway with a slope down towards the middle of the house. The raised bed is roughly at the same level as the asphalt. So I can’t just tear it down, as that would leave a large hole that I would have to fill again.
Now my questions to the experts: Is it possible to excavate the bed, leave the wall standing, build formwork, and then fill it with concrete to create a foundation for a shed?
How deep would I need to dig? How should I reinforce the concrete? What type of concrete should I use?
I hope someone can help me out.
Best regards
