Hello everyone!

We are planning to buy a house that has an 18-year-old oil-fired central heating system installed. Recently, the heat pump was replaced, and a new expansion tank (is that the correct term?) has already been ordered.

Now, since we want to submit the financing application soon, the question is whether we should keep the existing heating system as it is or include the cost of a new central heating system (possibly combined with solar thermal) in the financing. How efficient is an older heating system like this?

We have so many questions but don’t really know where or how to start 🙁

Thanks in advance

Best regards,
Marcus

Hello, the heating technician can determine the boiler’s heat loss through measurement. The efficiency also depends on whether the boiler is controlled, for example, based on the outdoor temperature. Is the new pump a high-efficiency pump?

Hello

After two days of bed rest, I’m finally able to reply again.
I’m attaching two photos of the heating system and the pump.
I can’t seem to find any information about the heating system, and from what I’ve read, the pump doesn’t seem to be very good.

Regards, Marcus
