Hello, we want to install a rainwater harvesting system for our house and garden project.
Does anyone know a good supplier with a good price/performance ratio?
It will be used for 3 (in a few years 4) people. Garden size about 150-200 m² (1600-2150 sq ft).
Is a 5000 l (1300 gal) tank sufficient?
With automatic or demand-based drinking water top-up?

hausmausi10 Feb 2011 20:35I was told at the environmental office that the investment hardly ever pays off. You don’t save as much water as you spend on the system. It can also break down sometimes... which means even more costs are involved.

Is it actually legal, or do you need a building permit / planning permission?
In the construction advice office, they couldn’t give me a clear answer, and I didn’t feel like going separately to the groundwater authority...
