Hello everyone,
does anyone have general experience, both positive and negative, with the company Lüumel from Coswig?
I currently have an offer for a heat pump with a horizontal ground loop. I have already read quite a bit about this online. I would be interested in hearing about your experiences here as well. Unfortunately, my offer is not very detailed, so I will get in touch with the company. But maybe some of you here in the forum can help in advance:
How does the seasonal performance factor (SPF) or energy consumption compare to other heat pump systems?
Have you had a simulation or calculation of the SPF done?
What is the impact or buildability of the buried pipes in the garden, for example regarding load-bearing or drive-over capacity?
Is a heat meter absolutely necessary?
What are the pros and cons of a horizontal ground loop? (I know this is a very general question)

A quality control check, not extensively described, must be carried out (this was not included in the first version of the application at all)...
As I said, I think you misunderstood something or spoke to someone incompetent on the phone.

@Sebastian79
I found this on the BAFA website:
"Basic funding requirements:
For electrically powered heat pumps: installation of an electricity meter to record all electricity consumed by the heat pump; for gas-powered heat pumps: installation of a gas meter to record all fuel consumed by the heat pump.
Installation of at least one heat meter. Measuring all heat output by the heat pump is mandatory."
Yes, you are probably right, which is why I’m so glad there are forums like this one. As I said before, I also find a heat meter costing 900€ quite steep.

This way, at least I’m on the safe side.

Hello, we also have a heating system with a trench collector from the company Lüumel since 2016. Unfortunately, we experience two malfunctions every year. It seems that refrigerant is always lacking. Now our system is very, very loud when starting up. We were told that it was due to the missing refrigerant. Can anyone confirm the noise level of the heating system? Thank you very much!
Our heating system was very noisy at the beginning, especially because we rarely kept the door to the heating room fully closed due to the cat litter boxes inside.
We then attached 4-5 cm (1.5-2 inch) thick heat-resistant insulation mats all around behind the fixed covering panels using double-sided tape. You can still hear the heating system, but it has become significantly quieter.
You might be able to remove a panel now to check the cutout for the pipes. When our system was first started, a small piece of insulation mat was placed over the cutout, but it had come loose, leaving the hole open.
If that is the case for you, just reattaching the piece of insulation can already help a bit.
Since we had the topic of a submeter earlier, ours has been installed for 2 years.
If you are interested in the consumption data, I posted it in another forum:
It can be found under the keywords " Bau Hilfe Forum" in the thread "What are your heating systems’ consumption?"
