Hello everyone,

If there are any painters or professionals here who can offer some advice, that would be great.
It’s about a large detached double garage, built with 24cm (10 inches) non-insulated sand-lime bricks and externally clad with facing bricks, with a pitched roof. This is a new build.
I’m planning to paint it. Plaster seemed too expensive given the size.
Is facade paint suitable for this, for example, a silicone resin-based paint like Pufas, used with the appropriate primer?
The drywall installer said this type of paint would peel off and trap moisture inside. However, it should be possible to find a durable paint suitable for this type of surface.
I would appreciate any tips.

That’s possible. However, the group supporting breathable walls will always see an issue with that.

Otherwise, you can use silicate paint.

Thanks for the tip! Can a silicate facade paint also be used for this, or should it definitely be one intended for interior use?

Whitewash lime. 1000 cow barns can't be wrong.

Doing the plastering yourself is not an option?

Phew, it’s quite tall, isn’t it?
As a beginner, I’m managing to get it done without transitions.
