Background: We selected windows and roller shutters and received the dimensions from the company. Based on this information, the shell construction was built. When the windows and roller shutters were then ordered by the company from the manufacturer, it turned out that an old roller shutter model had been offered to us, which is no longer available. The new one is now 2 cm (0.8 inches) smaller. By that time, of course, the shell construction was already in place.
Now to my question: How do I close the 2 cm (0.8 inches) gap? I was advised to use Heraklith. From your point of view, is that correct, or is there another option?

Regardless of which of the three options applies, as long as the gap is filled without significant voids using Heraklit, XPS, or Jackodur, it is basically not a problem.

Great – then we can install the windows and later push the insulation into the gap.
Thank you all
