Hello everyone,

In our house, insulation will soon be installed before the screed. There is currently a hole for a water pipe, see the image below.
Should the hole be sealed before installing the insulation, and if so, with what material or method?
This concerns the floor (concrete slab) between the ground floor and the basement.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Uh... And how does 25cm² (4 sq. inches) of excellent insulation in the concrete ceiling help you?

I wanted to correct the mistaken claim that PU foam provides "a little" thermal insulation. That is simply not true.

I already know what you wanted. To be a smart-ass.
Anyway. Do you have anything to contribute to the question?
