In our house, insulation will soon be installed before the screed. There is currently a hole for a water pipe, see the image below.
Should the hole be sealed before installing the insulation, and if so, with what material or method?
This concerns the floor (concrete slab) between the ground floor and the basement.

The advantage of the hole not being completely sealed: you quickly notice when water is standing on the structural slab at that spot 😉

xMisterDx23 Apr 2023 11:32Uh... Construction foam, or PU foam, has excellent insulation properties—like any material that contains many tiny air bubbles or pockets.
