Hello everyone,

We are going to install a split air conditioning system with two indoor units. We can connect the drainage of the first unit to the sewage system. Unfortunately, the slope for the second unit is too shallow. However, the unit is located quite close to the rain gutter. I could route the drainage through the exterior wall and then directly into the downspout. Is this possible?

Regards and thanks

There is not much water coming out, about 1/4 liter (0.25 quart) per hour, which can be allowed to drip away normally without any problems.

I just spoke briefly with my plumber earlier; he said he can solder an inlet nozzle onto the downpipe, which wouldn’t be a problem.

Could the penetration of the façade with the hose cause problems later on? Is there a risk that the plaster might crack or flake off?
