Good morning,

our building specification states: "...floating cement screed with impact sound and thermal insulation," and "underfloor heating with hot water."
Which type of vinyl flooring would be advisable here, and what experiences have you had? A discussion yesterday with a specialist retailer suggested glued vinyl, as the joints in click vinyl might be affected due to heat transmission. However, I have also heard opinions in favor of gluing...

Thank you,

Gluing is obviously better. However, in general, I am not a fan of this type of synthetic flooring. In the basement, I can accept it, but in living areas, there are more natural alternatives.

With two cats and a toddler, I think this is the most durable option.

But I’m happy to be corrected.

If plastic doesn’t bother you – we have glued vinyl flooring everywhere and really like it. Hardwood flooring would also be nice, but it’s clearly a different price range... you can always sand it down if it gets too many scratches.

Parquet flooring costs about 15 euros more per m2 (10.7 sq ft). It is always worth it to me. I do not want any plastic flooring in the living areas.

The advantage of vinyl is that it is very durable.

Could we please return to the original question once again.
